How we work with a firm
Five stages, each separately useful and separately priced. Most firms should start with the free assessment and stop there until the numbers justify going further.
Service stages
01 Free Law Firm Automation Assessment
FreeAvailable now
You answer questions about volumes and current process time. We return the monthly hours each workflow costs, a labour-cost equivalent if you supplied a staff rate, a transparent ordering, and an explicit list of what we could not calculate and why.
You get: An on-screen breakdown, immediately.
02 Detailed Automation Audit
Proposed at $99Register interest — not yet purchasable online
A written review of your top workflows against the systems you actually run: which steps could be automated, which cannot, which must stay with a person, and what access each would require. Where a system's capability is unknown, the audit says so rather than assuming it.
You get: A written document, delivered by a person.
03 Implementation Blueprint
QuotedScoped per firm
A paid discovery session that turns the audit into a specific first slice: the trigger, each step, the failure handling, the review points, and who approves what.
You get: A specification you could hand to any competent builder — including someone other than us.
04 Implementation
QuotedAfter discovery
We build the first slice against your systems. Human review points stay in the workflow by design, not as a limitation to be removed later.
You get: A working automation and the documentation for it.
05 Managed automation
QuotedBy agreement
We keep it running, watch for the failures that actually matter, and extend it as the firm changes.
You get: Ongoing operation and change.
The workflows we cover today
Intake preparation and follow-up
Re-keying enquiry details between systems, chasing missing information, and sending follow-ups.
Conflict-review research and evidence preparation
Gathering names and prior-matter evidence into one place so a lawyer can make the determination.
Matter-opening preparation
Creating the matter, folders, and records across systems once a decision to act has been made.
Pre-bill preparation and administrative review
Assembling drafts, chasing missing narratives, and formatting before a biller reviews them.
Document intake and organization
Filing, renaming, and routing inbound documents into the right matter location.
What we will not do
- Make a conflict determination. FirmSimplified prepares the evidence; the determination is a lawyer’s.
- Replace professional judgement, or remove an approval step to make a demo faster.
- Promise that a system can be automated before we have checked what it actually exposes on your plan.
- Quote an implementation price from an assessment. The assessment measures time spent; it cannot see your systems.
Start with the assessment
It is the only stage that needs nothing from us to begin, and its output is what every later stage is priced against.
